Thankful Thursday.

Our mom has finally filled our tank with a few new fish. Of course, they moved to fast so you couldn't see them in this photo.

But they are there.
Now lets hope hansel doesn't stress them to death like the LAST batch.

The fish tank sent mama back to a couple of memories in the 1970's, when she had an aquarium and kitties.

She came home from work one day and all the fish were boiled.....one of her kitties at that time, and she never knew for sure which one,(this was many years before us) had gotten up on the aquarium and in trying to get to the fish, had somehow turned the heater up.

It was a horrible, smelly mess, to say the least!!!!!!!!

A month or so later she got more fish and thought she had it so no kitty could "paw" the heater up.....well......sadly it happened a second time.

So our mama gave up on having an aquarium.....she decided she would much rather have kitties!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!

Not his fault, the glass makes him look huge!

Depends what kind of fish they are with stress. We have fish that have lived over 10 years, 2 of them, and mom never cleans the tank, and they each ate one of each other's eyeballs 9 years ago. Mom says they will live forever at this rate.
I hope yours do too!

Oh fish are so much fun to watch - it isn't Hansel's fault that it stresses them out for him to be there watching them! And if sometimes he needs to tap the glass, hey, that is part of the cat/fishy relationship!
