Mom is in a wedding today.
She's running all around trying to get ready for it.
I told her to calm down.
We are carving our cool pumpkin tonight- so it'll be fresh for those
trick or treaters.... that we don't have.
Don't forget- tonight by 6 est - have your
halloween costume entry up on the halloween blog.
Right now we only have one entry for best excuse why i didn't dress up.
The prize for that category is fantastic- and we really wish there was a bit more competition for it!
So, even if you're not wearing a costume- you can enter by saying why!

Hi, it's me, Benny!
Last wednesday, mom took me to visit my friend
Casey the beagle on her farm!
We took a looooooooooooong walk through the field.
there i met 3 HUGE horses!
This one's name is Buddy.
I posed in the horse field for mom.
Casey wouldn't stay, she kept trying to jump and
roll in horse poop!
The horses tried to follow me all over the field.
I was a bit scared of them, but I knew they wouldn't hurt me.
Here they are following me.
Casey's Aunt has an agility course for her dog
in the backyard, in the woods.
We walked there.
Here i am sitting on the beams.
I didn't get it, and jumped down right after.
Casey kept running up it.
Here we are checking out a small tree growing in the pen.
Mom says we're perfect together because we're both the same size,
and friendly, so we get along really well.
Here I am, with a cool tree in the fence.
I wouldn't do any of the obstacles, but
Casey played with a few.
She didn't go through this tire- but
looked cute on the other side.
Here is one of her going in the tunnel.
Then, we played chase allllll around the yard,
round and round and round!
Look at us go!
Then, Casey tried to climb under the gate to escape.
apparently, some beagles just do that.
On our way back to the house on the other side of the farm,
i saw a LOT of geese, and they were hanging out with
some cows!
Then, a big cow came up to meet me,
and KISSED me on the nose! GROSS!
Then Casey found an ear of corn and stole
it and started to eat it.
Mom says because of my colitis, i couldn't have any.
But it didn't smell very good anyway!

mom was LATE with getting that together this morning

This weeks Photo Hunters, is tied.
Here i am, Benny, on the right of my friend Casey the beagle.
She smelled something in the field, and we were tied to our leashes.
Then we criss crossed our leads.
Mom thought this picture of our butts was really cute.
I think she's stupid.
This is our tied photo for today.
Not really too tied , but kind of tied up....

WOW! our new toy arrived!
Mom said something special was coming for us,
but we didn't really believe her.
You know how moms are.
I make sure to check out the new toy...

That's that great toy i've heard about!
I've been asking for one forever!
Luckily the set up is really easy- so
i know the mombean won't mess up my new toy.
The yellow rod pieces snap together and ta-dah!
The wand is done!
Then you're off!
The little yellow pawprint makes the dragonfly dance!
Here he is fresh out of the box,
dancing in front of my face.
or 'flapping' is more like it.
He really flaps his wings!
Hansel, who usually doesn't come off the ground- got SO excited,
he was jumping in mid air to try to get the dragonfly!
He even pushed me out of the way.
I didn't like that.
Mom kept telling me i wasn't allowed to bite the cord- or the dragonfly
would become a dragon-fall.
HA HA HA mom. i hate you.
I always try to disconnect the toy from the strings,
so to make up for that, she had to fly him a bit higher for me.
That's better mom!
The only animal who WOULDN'T like this toy,
is a scared schnauzer. He hunched real low and ran into mom's lap.
He's also afraid of the air conditioner.
so... we don't really count his vote.
The best part about this toy-
is that if you bite the wings off, they snap right back on.
Mom had been real worried we'd break it,
but he snaps right back together- in anticipation of
our nomming goodness.
It also made hansel have to THINK about planning an attack.
I know, hansel, thinking?
who would've thought?!
I like how he seems to play with us.
It's a very interactive toy- rather than a toy that
just moves when we swat it.
If you want, you can even play on the floor,
with the dragonfly flying over you.

Well. I'm just much better at pretty much everything.
Hansel tries desperately to show me up.
However, they didn't have a photo they found on mommeh's camera and
'accidentally' posted it all over the interwebs...
